Pilot’s check-in will take place at the IMAC Reception Desk, in the main hangar.
To have access to the dedicated Competition Area of the airfield, each National Team Manager, Pilot, Mechanic and Supporter/Family Member will have to go through check-in at the IMAC Reception Desk, receiving information and the Access Badge. Without this Badge, it will not be possible to access the Competition Area, but only the spaces dedicated to public.

During the competition, each Precision Pilot will fly five Known Flights, with one drop, and three Unknown Flights, with one drop. Each Free Style Pilot will fly one Qualification flight and, if passed, one Final flight.
One Rest Day has been built into the agenda to allow for possible incoming bad weather conditions. The Contest Director will decide if, and when, to take the opportunity and make use of the Rest Day.
A detailed flights plan will appear on following Bulletins.
Sunday August 8th at 7:30 pm
The Final Celebrations will take place at the Restaurant, followed by a farewell Dinner Party.
IMAC Flight Line and Airbox
Three dedicated runways will be prepared for the event. They will be made of approximately 200X30 mt concrete and cured grass. They will provide access to an airbox of approximately 800X300 meters. The average distance between the pilot stand and the front display of the flight box will be approximately 150 meters. Therefore, the pilot will be able to perform rolling circles that will take his airplane up to 450 meters from him without any limitation.
A judging-station will be organized behind each pilot stand. This will include the relative and dedicated electronic scoring technology support facility.
A parking/gazebo area will be arranged behind each runway, enabling the pilots flying there to organize themselves properly for the whole day.
Flight Lines Layout
The airport runway is about 1Km long. Three IMAC precision flight lines will be installed on it.
The external flight lines will be slightly inclined to minimize the risk of potential flight interference.
Day long parking will be ensured behind each flight line.
A video VAR will be installed at each runway, automatically filming each flight. This technology may be used, by Judges and Contest Director, as a decision-making support to clarify possible contested scores relative to sequence structure. A media professional video shooting facility will also be installed, enabling flights to be posted in real time through social media. The whole event will be covered by National media.
The three IMAC flight lines and relative flight box are described below:
PARTICIPATION RULES
Invited Pilots
The IMAC Europeans Championship is dedicated to all IMAC pilots operating within the 28 Countries constituting the IMAC Europe Region. However, participation is open also to all pilots from any other IMAC World Region, provided the availability of open registration slots.
Each IMAC Country Director has the responsibility to organize his National Team, involving as many pilots as possible, without applying restrictions or admission procedures. The Europeans are open to any pilot who would like to come.
Below is the list of the current IMAC Europe Country Directors, who can be contacted at the following link:
ImacEurope.com/imac-europe-country-directors
The following Flight Classes will be offered: Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited and Freestyle.
Up to 40 Pilots will be accepted to participate at each Flight Class. To access Free Style, a Pilot must also fly a Precision Class.
The total number of registration slots available is 160.
Pilots will be able to register in one of the following three categories:
-
National Senior Team Member
-
National Junior Team Member (less then 16 yrs. old)
-
Guest from any other IMAC World Region
Junior Pilots, less than 16-years-old, will fly and compete together with the Senior Pilots. A Junior Pilot could win the Senior Class and be rewarded accordingly. However, a special ranking will be dedicated to Junior Pilots to ensure their motivation and visibility.
An additional, independent, ranking will be formulated including all the Guest Pilots from other Countries. This will be called: International Category Ranking.
The Country Director will submit his Country Registration Form to the Organizer and the Contest Director. He will also be responsible to collect and transfer all registration fees relative to his Team registered Pilots.
Country Registration Form
The slots in green will have to be filled. This list of Pilots can be made longer by the Country Director to accommodate all the Pilots of his Team.
A cross will have to be placed besides the Pilot name in case the Pilot will fly also “FS”, Free Style.
All Country Registration Forms will have to be compiled and sent as soon as possible after registration opening. Modification to the Country Forms can be submitted later, during an adaptation process that will take several months.
Registrations will officially open on January 1st, 2026.
The Country Registration Forms submission and updating process may continue until the end of the month of April 2027.
The preliminary Country Forms will be collected by the Organizer and Contest Director and immediately published. In the publication, all Pilots will show with a “P”, Pending, mark. Once the registration payment will be sent, the mark will become “C”, meaning registration completed.
All registrations will have to be completed by the Country Director, through the relative payment to the organizer, within the month of April 2027.
Final Ranking and Rewards
The first three best pilots for each of the following categories will be rewarded with a Cup and gifts from the competition sponsors.
European and International will be separate and independent rankings compiled with the same structure below:
Senior Category
-
Precision: Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited
-
Free Style
Junior Pilots will rank also in the Senior Category and may reach one of the top three positions in each of the Precision Classes. In this case, they will be rewarded accordingly.
Junior Category
-
Precision: Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited
-
Free Style
The Junior Category Ranking will receive its dedicated rewards.
National Category
The first three National Teams will be rewarded with a National Cup.
This ranking will be calculated by summing, per Country, all the normalized scores achieved by the pilots who reached the top three positions of the Senior Precision Ranking in the different flight classes. To this number, the system will add the normalized scores, per Country, of the pilots who reached the first three positions in Free Style.
The sum of these scores per Country will originate the National Teams Ranking.
According to this rule, the Countries who will be able to participate with larger National Teams will enjoy a higher probability to with the National Cup.
Final Ranking Elaboration Criteria
Each precision class will fly 5 Known and 3 Unknowns schedules of which, the worst Known and the worst Unknown results will be dropped. Therefore, for each pilot, the valid flights to be considered for ranking will be: 4 Knows and 2 Unknowns.
Raw scores will be normalized to 1,000 points for each valid flight. Therefore, after the drop, a pilot capable to win all the flights of his class would cumulate 4,000 points from known flights and 1,000 points from Unknown flights. The relative weight of Unknown flights versus Known is defined by the IMAC world regulations. All normalized scores achieved by each pilot in all “kept flights” will be summed, determining the final raw score that will then be normalized to determine the final normalized ranking for each flight class.
The Free Style competition will be structured on two separate Qualification Flights. The first 10 winners of each of the Qualification Flights will participate to the Final with 20 participants. Participation to each of the two different and stand-alone Qualification flights will be sorted out based on a random number generation process.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for each participating pilot will be:
-
Senior Pilots: 500,00 euro
-
Junior Pilots: 250,00 euro
Payment of the registration fee will entitle the Pilot to bring to the competition as many partner mechanics or family members. Each of them will receive the Competition Entry Badge at Pilot registration check-in.
All registration amounts will be collected by the Country IMAC Director and transferred to the organizer.
