A family man, a partner, a friend, an Aviator! Since he was a young child his passion for aviation was very obvious. After winning a major freestyle contest in Israel back in 2005 his flights sequences became a legend. In 2007 he was first competing in an international contest, The American XFC where he won the 5th place. In 2009 he competed in the USA XFC winging 3rd and the Czech EXFC winning 2nd place. Eventually in 2011 he won the 1st place in the Czech EXFC. By that time, he went to Australia to have his flight permit and became a flight instructor and a full-scale aerobatic pilot. Once in a while he participated in big RC events in Japan, China and more. He then got an Australian citizenship and started his new life in Australia with his fiancé Brie. On February the 19th 2020 our beloved Ido died in a tragic plane accident in Australia. This event is a brainchild idea to commemorate Ido's legacy throughout the world as one of the best RC freestyle pilots in the world of scale aerobatic, and to tell his wonderful story for generations to come as a true aviator, friend and beloved son and brother. Ido survived his father Zvika, his mother Ilana, his brother Yonatan and sister Inbal. • Pilots Registered to IMAC Europeans

Pilots Registered to IMAC Europeans FLIGHTS' PLAN In order to accept all the pilots registered through the received Preliminary Country Forms we needed a fourth flight line. The Leszno Airport Management has given us the possibility to activate a fourth runway, every morning, from 7am to 10am. It will be the Precision Line-1 shown in the picture below. This change enables us to accept all the pilots who registered through the preliminary Country Forms and, in addition, we will also be able to accept late registration from pilots who will make up their mind at the last minute. The limit for each Class is 40 Pilots, but we are far from reaching it. We will now fly every day, but with reduced pressure. This reduced pressure will allow for bad weather adjustments. As you will see from the Flights’ Plan below, all classes except Intermediate will enjoy a Rest Day, but in different days. We consider this Flights’ Plan quite enjoyable and not particularly pressurized, except for the first and second day. On Saturday and Sunday we will fly only one Precision flight in order to enable Pilots to relax and prepare for the FreeStyle competition. The exact take off time for each flight will be specified in a later Bulletin. As planned, each Precision Class will fly 5 Knowns and 3 Unknowns through the competition. Competition Structure Classes Allocation to Flight Lines Precision Flight Lines Layout The distances between the lines ensures a very high level of safety. The Advanced and Unlimited Classes, performing large rolling circles, will fly only on Line 3 and 4. While Sportsman and Intermediate will occupy Line 1 and 2. The Pilots of each Class will never change location during the same day. Therefore, they will be able to arrange cars and equipment at the parking area reserved for the line and stay they there for the entire day, if needed. Line 1 will be used for the early morning flights. Operations will have to stop at 10am, in order to clear the main Airport Runway 1. However, we will have all the time to move our cars and equipment after the early flight, as they will be on the taxy way and will not represent a problem to traffic control. The FreeStyle Flights’ Plan remains unchanged. Qualifications will take place on Saturday afternoon, while the Finals will be performed on Sunday afternoon and be coordinated within a broader air-show event involving also local public. FreeStye will take place on its dedicated runway, located in front of visitors. FreeStyle Line Layout

  • IMAC BOOT CAMP

A Boot Camp is a training activity organized by the IMAC School of Aerobatics, to facilitate the competency growth of pilots and judges in the practice of semi-scale model aerobatics. BOOT CAMPS A Boot Camp is a training program organised to develop the competence of IMAC Pilots and Judges, who should share the same base of knowledge regarding semi-scale model aerobatic competitions. These courses are implemented almost in every Country within the European Region. If you would like to organize one at your airfield, you should get in contact with your National Coordinator and find the way to make it happen. Significant support is provided by the management of IMAC Europe to ensure the implementation of Boot Camps anywhere within the Regional territory. Objectives At the end of a Boot Camp, each participant will be able to: 1. Prepare the airplane for precision flights; 2. Program the radio to facilitate the implementation all maneuvres; 3. Undertand the structure of aerobatic sequences and read the Aresti symbology; 4. Understand the criteria to evaluate each IMAC maneuvre; 5. Judge each maneuvre of an IMAC sequence; 6. Organize a personal flight improvement training program. BOOT CAMP TRAINING PRESENTATION

  • IMAC EUROPE

IMAC is a non-profit organization focusing on pilot education and maintenance of rules and guidelines governing the sport of radio control scale aerobatics. IMAC INTERNATIONAL IMAC is a non-profit organization focusing on pilot education and maintenance of rules and guidelines governing the sport of radio control scale aerobatics. Originally started ina 1974 as a Special Interest Group under the US modeling organization, AMA, the International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC) has grown to represent and organize scale aerobatic competition on a global level. Pilots interested in scale aerobatic competition are encouraged to join and support the organization’s mission. As with full-scale competition, pilots are separated into classes with each class getting progressively more challenging. Each class has a “known” sequence published every year that is flown at every event held during that calendar year. In the higher classes, a sequence is presented to the pilot at the event that they have not seen before (called an “unknown”). Scoring is based by “round” which consists of all pilots in a class flying their sequence in front of the same judges. The pilots are then ranked within that round. The judges are changed and the pilots fly their sequences again. By rule, the pilot’s lowest round(s) may be dropped. In the end, the pilot in a class with the highest score wins the event. There are five main classes: Basic – Entry level class with basic aerobatic maneuvers. Pilots in this class may fly ANY plane of any size which does NOT have to be a scale model of a competition plane. This class flies only a KNOWN sequence. Sportsman – Maneuvers get just a little more challenging and pilots are now required to use scale model aircraft. In this class, unknowns are introduced. Intermediate – Maneuvers increase in difficulty as slightly more complex figures are introduced. Unknowns become more challenging. Advanced – In this class, the pilot should be able to fly most any figure presented. The difficulty here is that sequences get more challenging as more complex figures are added together. Unlimited – exactly what it sounds like….no limits! Pilots in this class are presented with the most challenging sequences and complex unknowns. A true test of pilot and machine that requires experience and skill developed over time. In addition to precision aerobatic classes, IMAC offers also a more spectacular class: Free Style – No predefined figures as anything goes in this class! Pilots are judged on originality, musicality, and general piloting skills. Free Style is the most popular part of an event for the non-flying crowd. Free Style competition is open to pilots of ANY class but the pilot must also compete in a precision class. IMAC INTERNATIONAL TUCSON AEROBATIC SHOOTOUT
